Irrigation Repair/Diagnostics Technician

Job Overview: Cameron’s Inc. is currently hiring Irrigation technicians. We are locally own and ran company servicing Charlotte and surrounding areas. The applicant must be able to work well both with a team and independently; and must be willing to learn. The applicant must be observant of small details and have a good work ethic. We are looking for people with a friendly personality and who are willing to grow with the company.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Troubleshoot and service irrigation systems
• Make irrigation  Repairs which include but are not limited to:
  • Replace broken heads
  • Dig up and repair leaking or broken pipes
  • Clean/Rebuild/Repair Valves
  • Winterize/Active Backflows
• Drive company vehicles (which may include truck and trailer) to and from job sites safely.
• Monitor condition of irrigated lawns.
• Properly complete daily logs and other paperwork.
• Properly maintain truck and equipment
• Report any malfunctions of vehicles or equipment
• Perform other duties including but not limited to:
  • Simple irrigation repair
  • Simple landscape lighting repairs
  • Minor Lawn patching/repair
  • Assist other workers with their projects

Qualifications:

• Education level – High School or Equivalent Preferred
• Experience – Irrigation Systems (Install/Maintenance) Required
• Specific skills
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Residential irrigation timers.
  • Knowledge of “2-Wire” systems
  • Knowledge of pumps, wells, and electrical controls safely.
• Personal characteristics – Must be willing to learn other aspects of our company. i.e. Lawn/Weed spraying, Landscape Lighting, Minor Lawn Patching/ Repair
• Licenses – Driver’s license required
• Physical abilities
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds alone
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to dig a hole using a shovel
